Geneva is a small, efficient airport situated in Cointrin, only 4 kilometres or so from the city centre. It saw a throughput of almost 13.9 million passengers in 2012. The airport is situated on the Swiss-French border and can be accessed from either country. Pier F in Terminal 1 is dedicated to passengers arriving from or departing to French destinations. T1 is the more significant of the airport’s two terminals. T2 is the original terminal at the airport, and is largely used for low cost and charter flights in the winter months.  It is far more basic than T1. Geneva is a very wealthy city, coming 5th in a ranking of European cities by their UHNWI population*. The city itself is home to a large number of luxury boutiques. A diversified audience, travelling to more than 120 different destinations, passes through the airport. Prime advertising opportunities are offered in T1’s central tunnel – the Champs Elysées of advertising – as well as in the East and West tunnels. Prestigious brands (banks and watches) dominate high quality LED lightboxes, their high resolution vinyl canvas construction creating a 3D effect without creating distracting reflections between each ad. Upscale business travellers and VIPs can be targeted with smaller scale unique branding opportunities in several airport lounges and also at the two private jet terminals, a favourite destination for passengers from the Middle East and Russia.
