Advertising Opportunities at Mobile World Congress
Mobile World Congress is the global event for the mobile sector. This year there were 84,000 attendees, including 46,000 C-suite delegates. 4,800 were CEOs. The press was there in force too – 3,900 press members from 1,700 media outlets and 84 countries.
In 2015 the event runs from March 2nd to March 5th, and as usual takes place at Fira de Barcelona.
Currently there are a number of advertising opportunities still open.
1. Europa-Fira Metro Station, Naming Opportunity.
This is the closest Metro station to the main site, off Gran Via. Footfall at this station is 80,000 during the four days of MWC (this compared to 1.2 million annually). Companies including Sony and Samsung (with their Yoigo brand) have taken up this opportunity in the past. It includes a number of sites outside and within the station and can be booked for a period of just two weeks.
2. Opportunties at Barcelona El-Prat Airport.
There are two terminals at Barcelona; of these T1 is significantly more important both in terms of quantity and quality of traffic.
Opportunities still available for MWC include baggage reclaim sites and also column advertising at the taxi line at T1 arrivals.
There is also the opportunity to position a 3D object or objects in the baggage hall at T1 arrivals.
3. Taxi Advertising
Taxi tops and branded doors are available and can be booked for a period of just one week. This would work particularly well in conjunction with the sites at the airport taxi line at T1 arrivals.
